Siddha Yoga Hatha Yoga
Every part of our being is divine—the body, the mind, the energy that enlivens us. We practice hatha yoga to recognize that a divine light shines within us.
At the same time, we receive many physical benefits from hatha yoga. Our bodies become stronger and more flexible, allowing the muscles to relax. As our body gets more supple, we can sit comfortably and easily for longer periods of meditation.
Siddha Yoga Hatha Yoga Series
Fall Session II
A Six-week Series
Wednesdays, November 1 - December 6
6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
In this six-week gentle hatha yoga class, participants will practice basic traditional asanas at a slow pace using props and end each class with a restorative pose. Through the practice of hatha yoga, the body becomes stronger and more flexible, allowing muscles and joints to become more supple. In this way, the breath can move freely and one can sit more comfortably and easily for meditation.
- Series of 6 classes: $60
- Pre-registration is required for an entire six week series. Please register early.
- Wear loose exercise clothes in good repair that you can move in comfortably. Please no shorts or sleeveless tops.
- Props including yoga mats are available. You are also welcome to bring your own.
