Information for Participants at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland
If this is your first Shaktipat Intensive: We invite and encourage you to attend the First Time Participant Orientation from 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. The purpose of this session is to provide you with information to support your participation in the Shaktipat Intensive. We’ll conclude in time for you to refresh yourself and get comfortably seated in the hall before the Shaktipat Intensive begins.
What to Bring: The following items will support your participation in the Siddha Yoga practices during the Shaktipat Intensive.
Journal and pen
Support for sitting, such as a cushion or blanket
Meditation asana
Shawl
Bottle of water

How to Dress: Please dress well, in modest clothing that both shows respect for the sacred atmosphere of the Shaktipat Intensive and supports you in sitting comfortably for extended periods.
Local Lodging/Accommodations: Accommodations at the Siddha Yoga Ashram are limited at this time. You may request accommodations using the Online Registration form when you register for the Shaktipat Intensive.

Vegetarian breakfast and lunch are available for purchase at the Ashram Amrit Café.
Please review the Ashram’s guidelines regarding Safety Protocol for Prevention of Respiratory Viruses. COVID-19, cold, influenza (flu), and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are highly transmissible. Wearing a well-fitting face mask over your nose and mouth while in the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland is recommended. You may also want to test for COVID-19 before coming to an event that will be in an indoor hall. Please stay home if you are sick, have a cough, sore throat, headache, or runny nose not related to allergies. We encourage you to be personally responsible for your own health and well-being at all times.
