Two Days of Siddha Yoga Study and Practices for Young People (ages 13-30)

Young people (ages 13-20) will engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, meditation, seva, darshan, and dakshina. The focus of study will be Gurumayi's Message for 2024. Each day, young people will also engage in hatha yoga and journaling. They will also reflect on and share their understandings and experiences of Gurumayi's Message for 2024 in small groups.

A Day of Siddha Yoga Practices

The Day of Siddha Yoga Practices is a full-day event. Please be prepared to be at the Ashram for the entire day, starting with Shri Guru Gita recitation at 8:00 a.m. to the conclusion at 5:15 p.m.

This event is for people of all ages. The focus of the day will be on Gurumayi’s teaching Cleansing, Refreshing, Kindling... on the Siddha Yoga path website.

Elements of the day include

  • Recitation of Shri Guru Gita, followed by breakfast

  • Reflection and journaling on Gurumayi’s teaching 

  • Hatha yoga stretches

  • Siddha Yoga Sadhana Circles 

  • Seva projects

  • Chanting and meditation

Siddha Yoga Satsang in Honor of the 52nd Anniversary of Shri Guru Gita Recitation via live video stream

On January 7, 1972, in Gurudev Siddha Peeth, Baba Muktananda established the recitation of Shri Guru Gita as one of the fundamental practices on the Siddha Yoga path.

In honor of the 52nd anniversary of this occasion, a Siddha Yoga satsang via live video stream will be held in the Siddha Yoga Universal Hall via the Siddha Yoga path website. The Siddha Ashram in Oakland will receive the live video stream in Shaktinilaya Hall.

A Day of Siddha Yoga Practices for Young People

This event is for young people ages 13 to 30. The focus of this day will be the Siddha Yoga practice of seva, selfless service.

Throughout the day you will engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, and seva. To support your practices, there will be time for reflection, journaling, movement, and discussion. You will also have opportunities to share with each other about your understanding and experience of a teaching from Gurumayi on the spiritual practice of seva.
