Muktananda® Dhyana Saptah®: A Siddha Meditation® Event
Practical Information for Participants
Participants are encouraged to fully participate in each session of the event. There will be pauses and times for reflection throughout the day, and an hour-and-a-half lunch pause.
On the Day of the Event. Please dress in modest clothing that both shows respect for the sacred atmosphere of the event and supports you in sitting comfortably for extended periods. During the day, please
Observe silence for the duration of the Muktananda Dhyana Saptah.
Eat and drink moderately. This will support your meditation practice.
Be early for all sessions. It is best to be in Shaktinilaya Hall at least five minutes before each session is scheduled to begin. Each session will begin promptly.
What to Bring, The following items will support your participation.
Journal and pen
Cushion to support your posture
Meditation asana
Nectar of Chanting book
Shawl
Small bottle of water
Some of these items are available for purchase on the Siddha Yoga Bookstore website and locally in the Ashram bookstore.
Meals. Vegetarian lunch and refreshments are available for purchase at the Ashram’s Amrit Café.
Accommodations. Overnight accommodations are available at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland. Please use the Online Registration form to submit a request for accommodations.

Guidelines for Public Areas in the Ashram. To protect the sacred environment and support the focus on spiritual practices, please observe the following guidelines.
Cell phone conversations are not allowed in the public areas of the Ashram.
Photography and video recording are not permitted anywhere on the Ashram premises.
Only spiritual reading materials are allowed in the public areas of the Ashram.
Please review the Safety Protocol for Prevention of Respiratory Viruses that you will be asked to follow while in the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland.
